Artwork Specifications
We accept files in the following artwork formats: pdf, ai, psd, eps, tiff, png, jpg, and indd. It is best to send your files in the native format created by the software and saved as a pdf. Please upload all images and fonts used in your artwork if they are not embedded in your art file.
Art specs: Resolution of your photo or design should be a minimum of 200 dpi, and due to the size of the file, a maximum of 300 dpi. If your artwork is less than 200 dpi, it will look pixelated when printed. If you need help with your artwork, there is a $75 per hour art fee. We will discuss the artwork with you and provide an upfront estimate of time and cost.
Darkening artwork for backlit viewing: We will automatically darken your design for backlighting. This prevents colors from looking washed out when viewed with a backlit light. If you do not want your design darkened, please contact Customer Service.
Cut Size
Panel sizes: we can print up to 48” x 96” on a custom sheet of our light diffuser material. Please note that larger sheets will need to be supported so the material does not sag. Choose your size range in the dropdown box, and then enter the exact size you would like your custom design cut.
Hint: When measuring your custom panel, make sure you provide a size that will drop into the frame, not the frame size itself. Take out the existing panel and carefully measure it for a size that will fit the light fixture.
Proofing & Delivery
After you place an order and upload your artwork, we will email you a PDF proof. Once the proof is approved, your order will be placed into our production schedule and Customer Service will email you an estimated delivery date.

Ordering Light Diffusers with Copyrighted Images or Logos
We cannot allow you to order custom Durastrong or Clear Cell light diffusers that display copyrighted images or logos unless you have written permission from the copyright owner, as stated in our Terms & Conditions and have this written permission on file with our Customer Support team. This includes photos and logos where the image has been altered so that the copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice has been altered or removed.
If you want to include a copyrighted image or logo in your prints or products, you must obtain written permission from the copyright owner, what’s known as a “Print Release Form”. Photographers provide these to clients to allow them to print a photo. Email this Print Release form to
customerservice@sky-scapes.com. In your email, let us know how you intend to use the copyrighted image. This email message, as well as the Print Release Form, will be kept on file with your account.
Note: If you believe that your work or the work of another has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, Sky-Scapes has a process in place to respond to your concerns. Please contact Customer Support to get the ball rolling.
